‘The Experiment’ Installation with sculpture and lighting. Sculpture 1.6 x 1 metre (PLA filament, canvas, PVA, mirror, metal table), spotlights and cast shadows.
Presented within the Winter Cabaret exhibition, University of Reading, 09/12/2019.
'II. The Experiment' - The construction of a figurative form. Soft sensory facial features including eyes address the viewer whilst posed hands suggest a notion of animation. The mirrors encourage a participatory engagement with the figure, whilst combining multiple reflections to experiment with the notion of the double. Spotlights cast dramatic shadows onto the surrounding walls, enhancing atmosphere and emotion.
